"It Doesn't Matter" is the first single released from Wyclef Jean's second studio album, ''The Ecleftic: 2 Sides II a Book''. The track features additional vocals by The Rock and Melky Sedeck. The song title was based upon The Rock's famous catchphrase. Upon its release in August 2000, it entered the UK Singles Chart at #3, its highest chart position, and went on to spend eight weeks on the chart. The track features a sample of "This Is Ska" by Bad Manners and "Mona Lisa" by Slick Rick. The song was also released in French, under the title "Ça ne me fait rien" for Quebec and French radio stations, featuring Jacky and Ben-J, with "I got 50 Bentleys in the West Indies" replaced by "J'ai 50 Bentley aux États-Unis" to fit the rhyming scheme. In the second verse, one of the lines parodies the 1979 song "Another Brick In The Wall" by British rockers Pink Floyd. As a result, Wyclef Jean rapped the line "Leave that crack alone" as a parody line for "Hey, teacher! Leave those kids alone." ==Track listing== ; UK CD1 (669778 2) # "It Doesn't Matter" (LP Version) (Feat. The Rock & Melky Sedeck) - 3:57 # "It Doesn't Matter" (Remix) (Feat.
